Child Safety Seats
If you look around the department stores, you will find a relatively good range of child safety seats. Although there are no regulations on what's the minimum standard of safety by the authorities, I believe that the investment depends on how much you value your loved ones.
I have seen some child seats that are really badly built, constructed with cheap plastics that have no proper restraints or ergonomic function. I really do not know how some of these even got onto the shelves but buying them may prove to be a huge mistake in the event of an unfortunate collision.

Although it may not be the cheapest, at S$480, it was certainly worth the investment. Parents should understand that there should be no compromises to safety for the consequences of a collision are irreversible. Besides, if you could afford a car, the cost of a good child seat is negligible.
